"Can we get married?" Sunaina asked Arjun.

Arjun was engrossed in editing his manuscript when Sunaina posed an unexpected question to him. He turned to her, baffled, while Sunaina was looking in the other direction, not hoping he would look at her as she knew very well how he worked. The silence between them made Sunaina turn towards him, and she flinched. Arjun was looking at her confused, hoping to hear further. "What? Am I asking too much? Or is it that I asked for a share in your property that you are giving me that look?" Sunaina asked.

Playing with the handkerchief in her hand Sunaina continued after Arjun's utter silence, "Actually, Maa was saying that we should get married. We spend most of our time together at each other's place and her friends have started pinning that to her." Arjun got up from her chair and went close to her. He held her by her shoulders and made her sit on the couch near the window of his room. "Look, I know we are in love and we will get married one day. But I do not think now is the time for this. I am still trying to figure out my income sources, and career as an author. You are planning to move in with me after marriage leaving behind your career. One of us will be required to secure our lives financially. Arjun finally spoke, but was interrupted by Sunaina as soon as he used the term, "finances."

“That's it." Sunaina said and got up from the couch, and started walking towards the door but was stopped by Arjun. He held her hand and pulled her closer. "You know our little rule, right? Speak it, throw tantrums but you are not supposed to leave silently." Arjun reminded her of the rule they made together when they had a huge fight after three months of their relationship. "Ummm, what should I say? You have said it all. You are the only one worried about finances." Sunaina spoke in bits and pieces making Arjun feel irritated, but he controlled and hugged her. "Look, you tell me, are we having enough to live a comfortable life yet?" Arjun asked, hugging her tightly to calm her. "I am fine until you are with me. We can live at bare minimum when we are together." Sunaina replied.

"She had answers to everything today, how do I explain to her that it is not the right time to get married." Arjun thought. "Did you say something? Sunaina asked as if she heard what was going on in his mind. "Nope. Okay, give me some time to think about it, then we will plan everything." Arjun told her.

Sunaina hugged him tighter and kissed him on his cheeks. She ran out of his room, and went to her house. As she entered her house, she hugged her mother and started dancing. Her mother asked her the reason for her zest. Sunaina told her, "Arjun said he will think about the marriage. I will get married to him soon."
