Pratham was gearing up to start his new journey in a foreign land. His fiance Abhira wanted to join him, but her duty did not align with his interest. Abhira, an IAS officer was posted in Udham Singh Nagar, while Pratham was going for an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business in the USA. Finally, it was time for them to bid adieu.

Abhira and Pratham were childhood buddies and got into a relationship after completing schooling. Pratham graduated with a BBA degree, and Abhira did a BA in English Literature from Kumaun University. They spent a lot of time together during college. Who took the college seriously? After all, it was about exams that they had to clear to get the degree. From bunking classes to going to their favorite chai ki tapri and gobbling several samosas, they did it all.

When they finished college, Pratham went to Chandigarh to prepare for GMAT, while Abhira went to Delhi to prepare for UPSC. It was a one-year distance relationship. It was easy for them to survive as they knew once they achieved their goals, they would be together for a lifetime, not realizing another break coming after cracking their exams.

One year flew by, and Abhira returned home, but Pratham stayed back in Chandigarh as his GMAT scores were not good enough to secure him a place in his dream college. Abhira tried to convince him to try it, but he was adamant and decided to improve his score. Abhira and Pratham accepted their destiny to spend another year in a long-distance relationship. But this time, it was different. Abhira was free for a month, and we are awaiting her interview results. So, she decided to visit Chandigarh, surprising Pratham.

Abhira boarded a train to Chandigarh from Rudrapur the next day and went to Pratham's apartment. She called him before knocking at the door. "Hello, baby. Good Morning." Pratham moaned in sleep, picking up her call. "What? You are still sleeping. Wake up, dude. I am standing outside of your apartment." Abhira screamed in the phone. "What???" Pratham yelled and with a thud, he fell from the bed.

Pratham got out of bed and grabbed his tee. Before he could go down, his flatmate Arun opened the door to step out and found Abhira waiting outside. Arun and Abhira were chit-chatting when Pratham appeared. Abhira ran straight into his arms and hugged him. "I miss you so much," Abhira whispered in his ears.

"Ahm Ahm," Arun interrupted. Abhira and Pratham got separated and told Arun they would see him some time at the breakfast table.

Abhira and Pratham went into the room and Abhira started talking until Pratham put his hand over her mouth, and said, "Baby, baby will you take a breath? We spoke last night only, and see you have a lot as if we are meeting after years." Pratham laughed and Abhira hit him on his shoulder and pushed him. "Go away, I am mad that I came. I am going back," Abhira told him in anger.

As Abhira started walking Pratham grabbed her hand and pulled her closer in a tight hug.
