But as time passes, the realize that things aren't happening quite as expected.Animal Farmis, one level, a simple story about barnyard animals. On a much deeper level, it is a savage political satire on corrupted ideals, misdirected revolutions and class conflict-themes as valid today as they were sixty years ago.

Review

Animal Farm is an allegory that appears straightforward, but it unveils the harsh truth of the society depicted by different farm animals representing distinct classes in human society. The story set in a farmhouse called Manor Farm will mesmerize readers. The farmhouse scene is explanatory, and readers can picture the view.

The character representation in the story is smooth. From the farm owner to other people introduced are descriptive and easy to connect. Readers will notice how different farm animals reflect distinct classes of human society. Boxer (dog) is a hard-working person who believes in his leader. Napoleon (pig) is a corrupt leader well-versed in manipulating others. Snowball (pig) is an honest leader who faces injustice because he wants equality for all. Similarly, other animals, including hens, sheep, cats, horses, donkeys, etc, also represent different levels of people in society.

The author's writing style is engaging, concise, and clear, but the depth of the theme reflects the story's essence. The story resonates with readers of all time, being a timeless story. Even today, it feels connected as the theme depicts the societal norms guided by people. The author does not leave any chance to criticize the power structure, making it accessible and insightful to the readers.

The irony and satire will make readers laugh while reading this book. Readers will have smiling, chuckling, laughing, and solemn moments reading this book. It is a short yet powerful pack to uplift the moods of people of all ages. This book will make readers understand the impacts of unchecked powers that the author illustrates well through his work.

Some points to emphasize in this book:

  • Be it human or animal, if anybody is given a chance to rule, they may deceive others by manipulating in a way that will make others think of themselves as weaker origins of the society.

  • Humans need to understand the importance of other living beings. This book teaches humans the impacts of animals taking their place.

  • Readers will love this book for its satirical truth and picture of society.

  • The book does not end on a happy note. It portrays that revolutions can lead to betrayal, leaving readers discouraged.

It is a much-recommended book for all readers for its thought-provoking theme in politics and societal representation.
