Letter To My Younger Self : Dreams

Dear younger dreamer,

I am so happy to write to you because one of our dreams came to life yesterday. Yes, yes, yes. We won the Authoropod Annual Award for our latest book, “Hold On, You Are Almost There.” The dreamer in you kept me dreaming all this while, and I am sure I am never going to stop dreaming in life.

You know, I was feeling dhichuk dhichuk the entire time since I was shortlisted. I know how to handle wins and losses, but let’s not go back to losses and talk about wins only. Now that I have won, it feels so good. See, I don’t have enough words to express it. It is a pleasure to see my book shine among such great minds and writers.

You remember how that one poetry writing competition turned you into a poet, and then, as soon as you got your first chance, you published your first book back in 2021. Now we are five books down and still counting. I don’t know where it will take me, but I will always keep the poet in you alive, for that was the stepping stone of this author’s journey.

One thing I learned in this journey is to never stop trying, never lose hope, and never let others suppress you or tell you where you belong, because you know no limits, and that is who I have become today. It is my power, and I will carry it forever to fulfill all those dreams you once dreamed and to live for new ones to be fulfilled in this journey. I feel dreaming is the new way of living a contented life.

As I close this, I want to express my gratitude to you for being the way you have been. It has given me the strength and confidence to shine. I hope I will carry your legacy of dreaming and fulfilling those dreams with a dash of style.

Yours truly,
The dreamer you grew into
