Book Review: Musafir Cafe

Book Name: Musafir Cafe
Author: Divya Prakash Dubey

Publisher: Hind Yugm

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Musafir Cafe is a beautifully written contemporary romance unlike typical romance. It explores the true meaning of life and how people in love with their aspirations and someone change the way to curate a world of their own.

Review

When I started reading this book, I felt it might be like any other romantic story. But when I noticed the names of the protagonists, I was intrigued. I haven't read Gunahon Ka Devta, so I'm not sure if the vibe would be similar, because I heard that book even made the tough folks cry. Sudha and Chander make all the difference in this story.

As I dived into the story, it was breezy, slow, warm, and more heart-touching than a typical romance novel.

The story follows the journey of two characters, Sudha and Chander, from the moment they met in a café while they went there to meet a prospect for marriage, to the way their lives changed completely, from resisting being friends to becoming live-in partners. Yes, you read it right; they were curating a life of their own, not bound by societal norms. How their lives turned from that one meeting is what all readers would love to explore in this tale.

Readers would love the characters in the story because they reflect flawed and relatable characteristics, just like two people in love who started by being resistant to the prospect of marriage for the sake of society. The way their relationship grew and the way they grew as people in the story will make readers feel as if they are part of their lives. Pammi will remind them of their own aspirations and dreams and inspire readers to work on their dreams just like she did. It is the beauty of how the author created this story, taking each character through the exploration of the complexities of relationships, personal aspirations, and building a life of their own choice.

The author’s writing style is simple yet impactful, turning heads and allowing readers to create their own universe where only love blossoms. It is so realistic that readers would want more of the story. After all, the end is the start of a new beginning of the love story of Sudha and Chander with their kid and friend Pammi. In the lap of nature, they lived a happy and peaceful life in the mountains at their own Musafir Café.

For those who love reading about pure love, this book is for you. It will make you smile, cry, laugh, and feel the pain of the characters.
