Review
The book is set against the backdrop of the glamorous film industry. The story centered on the murder on the murder of one of the influential film producers, Rajat Handa. Three people confessed to the murder; in fact, the two admitted while the third one kept himself on hold till the trial for the other two is confirmed. The police department is a fix on how to solve the mystery when there are people already confessing to doing the murder. Follow the police inspector as he unveils the mystery, a web of secrets, to catch the murderer. The title does the justice as the book is divided in three parts defining how the murderer is caught.
In this book, each character has enough limelight, glorifying their true nature, past, and the complex and intricate relationship with Rajat Handa. The flawed and relatable characters will keep the readers on the edge of their beds, making a guess about the murderer. Lipika, Rajata Handa's wife, portrays a loving mother who is trying to protect his son, Jatin, Rajata's childhood friend, depicts an opportunistic friend, and Rajat's son is more like a rich brat yet trying to fit in the society, beating the nepotism and fighting for what it his even when his father wants to take decisions on his behalf.
The author's writing style is gripping and fast-paced. The murderer is unveiled halfway through the book, yet there is another layer for the readers to stay with the book till the last page is turned. The narrative structure through the multiple POVs is what makes the book more addictive. Along with that, the author, amidst murder, explored various themes like guilt, ambition, and deceit. The short chapters and fast-paced plot will make readers devour this book in one sitting. The author's descriptions of the places and the distance covered to reach places, such as minute details, are captured well in this book.
Readers who love to read fast-paced crime thrillers should definitely check out this book. This book will allow them to understand how the human psyche can turn events to their benefit. A pack of thriller, crime, and a bit of research is what describes this book concisely.
