Blogchatter A2Z: Corruption
Anany, an intelligent student since childhood, completed his intermediate education and was ready to nail his college life. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sharma, were proud of their son for always staying top-notch in every field. They were a mediocre family, with Mr. Sharma working in an IT firm and his wife being a homemaker.
Though their status was modest, Anany's dreams were high-spirited. Mr. and Mrs. Sharma proudly say, "You dream. We will make them happen for you at any cost." Anany was a charming boy loved by everyone in their school. But now it was a difficult situation for him. He planned to be admitted to one of the prestigious private universities to pursue his graduation.
Anany prepared for his entrance test and was determined to pass with flying colors to attain a seat in his dream college. Before the day of the entrance test, he traveled from his hometown in Uttarakhand amidst the mountains in the rough summer of New Delhi. He stayed with one friend on the night before the exam and did not waste time wandering here and there until he sat for the examination the next day.
On Doom's Day, Anany went well-prepared with all the necessities, including an admit card, pen, and pencil. Numerous students traveled from around the country for admission, but Anany was not nervous seeing the crowd. He knew he prepared enough to grab a seat and went to take the test with a broad smile and dreams in his eyes.
As the bell rang, the computer screen enabled the test. Anany did not realize when three hours passed until the timer on his screen showed him the last fifteen minutes. He hurried and tried to answer as many questions as he could because he knew the test had negative marks for wrong answers.
After finishing the test, he came out smiling and saw his friends waiting for him at the main gate. He told his friend about his exam and assured him he would get the desired seat. Anany excused him for a moment to call his parents to inform them about his examination.
Anany and his friend boarded a metro from Rajiv Chowk, taking the yellow line to Qutub Minar as their first place to visit for New Delhi Excursion. As they traveled, they chatted and giggled. They discussed their future plans and everything they could do in their leisure time while traveling.
After reaching Qutub Minar, Anany told his friend that he wished to go to Dramz Cafe as he had seen that numerous times in his reels. They explored Qutub Minar and took many photos. After exploring, they took an auto to DRamz Cafe for lunch. Anany had to board a bus back home at night of the same day, though his friend insisted he stay for a few days, as there was nothing for Anany to do until his entrance result came. Anany told him he wished to stay with his parents till he started college, and his friend did not press further.
One month passed, and Ananya's result day came. He felt nervous and excited to witness his dream coming true. As he opened the result site and entered his application ID, he went hysterical as the screen showed “Failed.” His parents were by his side when he was checking his results, and they felt shattered seeing their son's dream broken.
Anany did not talk to anyone and locked himself in his room for the next few days. One day, while Mr. Sharma was reading the newspaper, he read that the entrance exam that Anany gave did not go well for many bright students, and there was an inquiry on the same. After the investigation, the team announced that the corrupt administration manipulated the result to provide seats for a few rich brats and politicians' kids who did not do well.
Mr. Sharma, with hope of light, called out to Anany, but he did not answer. He felt terrified with all odds thoughts and broke the door. Mr. Sharma felt relieved after seeing Anany sleeping, tears still falling from his cheeks. He caressed his hair, woke him, and told him about the news. Anany hugged and reminded him of what he said after the examination.
Mrs. Shukla joined them and asked about the chaos and their celebration. After hearing the news, she hugged Anany and told him she believed in his abilities. It was the evil deeds of others that made her son suffer. She cheered him and informed him that everything would be fine soon and he would get admission to his dream college.

Oh God, you had me worried when Anany did not answer Mr.Sharma's call out. Phew! It's so sad when deserving candidates like Anany don't get their due in prestigious institutes because of such corruption.
