Blogchatter BlogHop: Pursuing Passions: Crafting Your Perfect Day of Pleasure
![]() |
I always crave an extra day off because weekends appear to fly in a moment. There are several chores that I put off to get completed on weekends, like laundering, cleaning, traveling, etc. But the list becomes so long that many things get missed. I wish to take a break from my busy life to spend quality time with myself.
Let me throw some light on my ideal way to spend my day off:
- Early Morning
As an early bird from childhood, I prefer to embrace the morning sunshine. It is the best time to live under the sun. Getting up, I freshen up and spend some time doing a workout or physical activity for at least half an hour.
Once I finish my morning rituals, I take my breakfast with some fruits to make it wholesome.
- Mid Morning
It is that time of the day when I engross myself sipping coffee and writing the masterpiece of a blog. I plan my next week or next month (if it is the last weekend of the current month).
- Afternoon
Till lunch gets prepared, I work on my projects, including writing, reading, or upskilling.
Proceeding to it, I finish my lunch. I pick up my current read and read through a few pages till the evening knocks at my door.
- Evening
It seems the golden hour to me when I can go out to chill with friends, explore places in the city, or go for adventure activities. Evening time out is a ritual, be it going grocery shopping with friends.
- Night
I love to spend time at some cozy place with soft music. I take a good meal, ensuring I eat enough to fill my tummy and not stuff it.
After coming home, I wind down through a few pages of my current read before crashing to bed.
I believe 6-8 hours of sleep is necessary for an active lifestyle. So, I take 8 hours of sleep to wake up early morning with ease to seize the day.
An ideal day off can differ from time to time, from person to person, or from place to place. So, I do not bind myself to follow this strictly. Instead, I devise a plan and try check-marking the maximum number of possible things from my list.

Very nice to enjoy your day off. I also like to get up early on holidays but sometimes just switching off the alarm is the real charm.
