Blogchatter Blog Hop: Let the Kids Bloom
![]() |
Toys? Games? Cartoons? Or is it a surprise gift?
No, the above things are materialistic. Though they are kids, they understand better than adults about the essence of love. The thing they like the most is your time. They love when you play with them. For kids, there is no age limit to do something coming within their reach. So, for them, adults can involve in their games too.
I have several nephews and nieces with whom I play whenever I meet them. I will tell you an incident.
Once, I went to my cousin's place. There are two kids in the house. As I reached there, they were ready with ideas for games that we could play together. I remember how the younger one cried when she lost the game, and to soothe her, I had to accept my defeat. I could imagine that crooked smile on her face. During that visit, I realized kids love when they get involved with adults.
Everybody loves rewards. And for kids, it becomes easy because they only wish that you play with them. So, you can award kids for doing small chores like arranging their clothes in their cupboards and putting their toys in place after playing and do not miss the crucial point that you should do things you wish your kids to do.
For example, if you wish to keep your kids fit and want them to do physical activity, you should start doing workouts first. Kids imitate what adults do. It reminded me of my childhood when I wished to grow up fast so that I could do what adults can do. I bet every kid has this desire until he grows up as an adult and faces reality.
Wrapping up, I wish to highlight that kids are like wet clay. You can mold them as the best or the worst is in your hands. And who would want the worst, so let us try to be creative with them and involve them starting with small chores.

These are great ideas to involve kids and I agree that kids watch adults and copy so we should show them not just tell them to do things.
