Review

Siddharth Nirwan's Night at the Medical Campus is a captivating and suspenseful thriller that delves into the dark secrets concealed within the walls of a prestigious medical college. The story follows a group of first-year medical students who got stuck in a dare by seniors as part of ragging, leading to the adventure and chaotic sequence of deaths and horror-stricken incidents, leaving the college and its reputation at stake.

Readers would notice the characters unfolding flawlessly, allowing them to feel nostalgic about college life and relive the life-long bonds with their friends. The "famous five" gang in the story depicts a group of students who attain fame when they enter college, and everyone feels awe of them. There are other characters who would catch the attention of the readers, like PC, a professor who worked on his terms, and no one could make him change his behavior because he was the best at work.

The author incorporates a captivating narrative that keeps the reader hooked from start to finish. The suspenseful atmosphere and unexpected twists and turns make the book hard to put down. For some readers, it might appear guessable at a few points, and the horror element might seem lacking, but when the readers would close the book, they would carry the horror element with them. In my case, I thought this book was not that horrific until one night after finishing the book, I could not sleep hearing and feeling the elements and sounds from the book.

For readers looking for Spooktober recommendations, this book is a suitable read. But, dear readers do not underestimate the horror in this book, you never know when you will find yourself in a similar atmosphere as the setting of the book.
