Blogchatter A2Z: Terrorism

The school bell rang, and the students ran towards the assembly ground. It was time for morning assembly, and it was the eighth standard students' turn to host. The commander led the assembly, and all students prayed in chorus, with teachers monitoring students. After assembly, the students moved to their classes. The class teachers took on their duties.

Everything went well until lunch break. While the students were busy playing and sharing food, there was an announcement from the central speaker, "Everyone needs to move to their classes. There is danger on the other side of the school ground." There was panic. Students started running here and there. They bumped into each other. The teachers rushed to the ground to redirect students to a safe place.

Tapis and his group were playing on the other side of the school grounds. Before they could understand and run, the terrorists got hold of them and took them hostage. While the headmaster was sending students to school, he heard a gunshot at a distance. He terrified. He turned around and noticed a group of five students caught by terrorists.

The headmaster ran inside the school gate and informed the staff to call the cops. He returned to the ground to keep an eye on the terrorists and the students. The other teachers came out to him. He told them to stay inside and figure out a way to save the students as the police might take time to come, and the students with terrorists were in grave danger every minute. But everybody felt afraid as there was no other way to reach students.

The police force arrived with speakers and weapons to address the terrorists. They surrounded the school from all sides and asked the terrorists to surrender. But the terrorists did not deter and told the cops to leave. They asked the cops to release their friend, who was still in jail, while they ran off. The police still insisted that they surrender, or they would invite severe punishment for them.

The students cried and begged for their lives. One of the terrorists shouted and told them to sit quietly. Otherwise, he would shoot. The police informed the terrorists that they could not go anywhere as police forces surrounded them from all sides. The terrorists decided to move out, taking the students along with them at gunpoint to protect themselves from the police and get out of the school premises.

As the terrorists were walking towards the gate, they asked the police to stay off, or they would shoot. The students at gunpoint felt scared. But they saw an opportunity to fool the terrorists. One of them fell and took a fist full of sand, throwing it in the eyes of the terrorists. The students ran toward the safe space, but one of the terrorists pulled the trigger by mistake, and the bullet struck the headmaster's womb when he was coming toward the students.

  1. Terrorism in today's times seems to be norm to make legal forces bend. The innocents always take the hit.

  2. I liked this narrative that effectively conveys the tension and urgency of a hostage crisis within a school setting, offering a gripping, albeit distressing, glimpse into the challenges faced during such critical incidents. It ends with a stark reminder of the need for effective safety protocols and crisis management strategies in educational environments.

    1. Hmm, this is scary but it's a fiction. We can mould what happens ahead (wink)
