Book Review : Journey To Rebond

Journey to Rebond by Krishna Mariyil is a young-adult fiction novel of two childhood friends who grew together for a passion that brought them together, separated them and rebond them in the end.

My Thoughts on The Book

I loved the way the author has written the plotline of the story. The book comprises 25 mini chapters summarizing different events, timings and situations of the main characters (Akash and Karan) of the story. You will find yourself glued to the book when you start reading it. The best thing is the way of writing the author has come up with this book.

Though the chapters may appear small, the details each of them covered will leave you spellbound. The intensity of emotions, decisiveness and separation is well-expressed in this book.

The book drops a message that passion will always win over your obligations in the end. In this story, Akash who left his passion to fulfill his responsibilities towards his family without getting asked to do so is an example that you often come across in your life, maybe you also struggled with the same situation. The story is relatable to common people as a result adding another reason to love it.

One thing I would like to highlight is that the ending was quite predictable. But the author did not let the stones unturned hers as well, the way the author has written the end will make you intrigued in the book that you will realize you predicted the ending but not who the winner is.

My Note to The Author

It is a good novel as with the journey of childhood friendship it teaches different other emotions as I have mentioned above. I enjoyed reading the novel. Though it was predictable in the end, yet I could not resist finishing it because of your writing style, wondering if there would be a twist.

This book is a good choice for teenagers, and adults as it comes up with a pack of deep emotion, bonding, separation, rebonding, responsibilities and teaching them the importance of being and living in and for a family. As each family member holds back each other in the tough times..
