One morning as Tiger, the King of Karamba, walked proudly through his jungle, he heard giggles. The monkeys were giggling at him.At me? How dare they?Tiger rushed at them. They laughed at him.He tried to climb the tree. They mocked him.He roared at them. They laughed harder.Shocked, Tiger turned to look at himself and screamedWhat...what is this? How did this happen? Where did this happen? When did this happen? And then he remembered what the wind had whispered last evening. Tiger, Tiger,You are free. But what have you lostAt the tree? Tiger, Tiger,The ticks are dead. But at the treeWhat have you shed? He ran back to his den and hid in shame. He lost his confidence and courage. He refused to hunt. There was chaos in the Jungle. What had Tiger lost? Will he regain his confidence? Will balance return to the jungle?

My Thoughts On The Book

Being an adult, I always wish to revive back to my childhood and this book did it for me. These days when I see kids engrossed in screens, including mobile, television and others, I feel pity for them as they are missing out on great cheers of childhood.

When I read this book I laughed, felt bad for Tiger (the center of the story), and was proud of Tiger in the end. In this book, there is a quick story for kids to entertain them before bedtime. I remember how I used to ask my grandmother to tell me stories before I went to sleep every night in my childhood. This book helped me rejuvenate and live my childhood again.

If I talk about kids, this book is the one parents should introduce to their kids, either they can read it for them or the grown ups who are able to read can read themselves. It will help them inculcate reading habits and allow them to stay away from screens. The kids will enjoy this book.

The best thing about this book is the illustrations along with context. Kids get attracted to pictures. Hence, if you will gift this book to a kid, you will help the kid in many ways. Some of them are:

  • Relaxation of eyes by staying away from the screen.

  • Inculcate reading habits for good.

  • May attract kid to draw something.

  • Parents and kids bonding.

These are a few advantages that came in my mind, more can be realized by taking a small step to get this book.

My Note To The Author

In this world of kids getting involved in screens, this is a great approach to bring them to the real world where books are the best friends. Only writing a book may not be enough but by adding pictures to your book, you have set an example as to how children’s books can be made more appealing for kids to find them useful.

Moral of the Story

This book has a story that leaves you with a moral that people will always laugh at your back if you lose your confidence, be it due to some loss. But if you stand still holding your confidence for what defines you rather than what is lost, you will never lose your place. Be confident about your characteristics, you will conquer the world.
