BlogchatterA2Z: Lift Weights, Not Expectations

If you wish to lift something, go for weights, they will strengthen you. Choose not to go for expectations. They only weaken you. Weights are a matter of action. You can lift and put them back in place. But expectations will lower your shoulders for a lifetime.

Let me tell you "L" of living a happy life, viz., "Lift Weights, Not Expectations."

When you love someone, you seek them to love you back. Your parents look forward to you bringing fame to the family. If you are a bright student, your school has high hopes when they send you to a competition to represent your school. Due to all such expectations, you do not enjoy your life. You become a part of a race. You are always in a competition. It ruins the rhythm of living a happy and satisfactory life because fulfilling one expectation leads to the next, and so on.

How will lifting weights make you happy?

Lifting weights strengthens your core and helps you stay fit. When you do weight training, you shed fat, and your physical appearance changes. Consequently, you feel happy about yourself. Although I believe you should always love yourself first, simultaneously work on yourself. It builds confidence and helps you be decisive in life.

With age, your muscles get weak. You need to train them for a better life. Similarly, as time passes, you should learn and unlearn several things to become a better person. In this, the first thing to unlearn is to hold expectations. You are liable to fulfill your desires. You have a passion for living.

How can you live up to the expectations of others?

Ever wondered about these questions? I am sure many of you did not. When you work according to the expectation of others, you start expecting in return. When they do not fulfill your expectations, you feel agitated and curse yourself for being in this race.

In the end, you will realize you cannot live up to the expectations of others. But you fail each time to accept this truth. Eventually, you start living pretentiously.

Expectations hurt either you or someone who is expecting from you. So, you have to decide for yourself. I am sure you do not wish to hurt anyone intentionally or unintentionally. You require keeping it simple when you know what is good for you and focus on what makes you happy.

Let me conclude "Lift Weights, Not EXpectations":

To lead a happy life, lift the weights, not the burdens. Expectations are burdens. You need to get rid of them. Make friends with weights, and they will change your lifestyle.

Lift yourself to touch the heights of the sky.
